CAMROSE, AB — The Camrose Kodiaks are excited to announce the signing of North Vancouver native forward Liam Payne, the team confirmed today.
Payne, 18, brings a dynamic offensive presence to the Kodiaks lineup. Standing at 5’11” and weighing 185 lbs, the right-shot forward has shown tremendous potential and scoring ability throughout his young career.
In the 2023-24 season with the North Shore Warriors U18 Prep team, Payne lit up the scoresheet, amassing an impressive 61 points (26G, 35A) in just 28 games. His standout performance in the CSSHL continued in the playoffs, where he added another 3 points in 3 games, cementing himself as a key contributor in high-stakes moments.
Payne also gained valuable experience at the Junior ‘A’ level with brief stints in the BCHL for the Vernon Vipers and Langley Rivermen, as well as a recent appearance in the NAHL with the Watertown Shamrocks.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Liam to our organization,” said the Kodiaks’ Hockey Operations Staff. “He’s a player with tremendous skill and vision, and we believe he will be an important addition to our forward group this season.”
The Camrose Kodiaks are excited to see what Payne can bring to the team as he embarks on this next chapter of his hockey journey.
